Are these watches of high quality or will they break after I wear them for a few times?

It depends on how you wear it. If you wear it regularly, it will last a few years without any problems. The watches we offer are of quite high quality. These are not the cheap bargain ones you will find on the streets that will break after a few days, these will last for years! We are so confident in our watches, and we offer an exchange or refund for any watches if they are ever defective.

I have seen other websites that offer them for cheaper, why are yours more expensive?

The prices of the watches depend on the quality. Many websites will carry the lowest quality available and hence are able to sell them with cheaper prices. But we do not believe in offering low-quality goods that may break down after being worn just once or twice. In fact, we believe so strongly in our products that we have a warranty for all items purchased from our site.

Why does my automatic movement replica lose time and on occasion stops moving?

When you first receive your automatic movement replica, you will need to wind it for 3 minutes straight BEFORE wearing it. Then if you wear it daily, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk. If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but it will then automatically wind itself once you start wearing it again. Your watch would hence not keep time if it is not worn constantly. However, take heart that you will never ever have to replace the battery as there isn’t one, and most of all, this type of movement is exactly what the originals use!

Terminology: What do auto, quartz, and scanning second hand mean?

Automatic refers to a watch movement composed of an automatic winding mechanism, which allows the watch to run on its own without a battery. The advantage of this is that the watch does not require a battery to operate. Its disadvantage is that the watch should be maintained every few years to ensure its smooth operation.
Quartz refers to a watch movement that runs on batteries. The advantage of this is that the service life of the watch is usually longer than that of an automatic watch. Its disadvantage is that the battery must be replaced frequently.
The scanning second hand refers to a second hand that sweeps smoothly rather than tick every second. Basically, its movement consists of a bunch of very small, fast ticking sounds, which combined make it look like the hand is sweeping smoothly. All automatic watches have a moving second hand, and all quartz watches have a ticking second hand.

How do I set time?

To set the time for your automatic watch, you will need to turn button in an anti-clockwise direction if you have a screw-in lock watch. You will then need to softly pull the button out a little bit. The best way to do this is to use your first and second finger and to also use your finger nail as a lever in order to pull the button out with as little force as possible. You will feel a little click when you do this correctly. In some watches with a date function, the first step would be for date adjustment, and the second step would be for the time. Now you can set the time by turning it anti-clockwise. This would turn the minute-hour hands forward until you set the right time . After the correct time is set, push the button back and turn it clockwise for a few rounds to lock it in position.
